can’t believe i just found out about your blog! Big dread talons player here🙏🙏🙏 will you be running nightmare hunt ? I miss the DT aura, screaming descent and merciless pursuit but everything else is much improved from our older detachment. Can’t wait to see how you build it!

Hey, I’ll probably give it a go.
Dread Talons has more going for it in terms of creating difficult board states for your opponent to play into, Nightmare hunt seems like an upgrade, but it more of a worse Renegade Raiders detachment than actually doing something different like Dread Talons does.
I’ve been playing a lot of GSC lately, so that’s been my main focus at the moment. If you ever want to chat Nightmare Hunt strategy though just let me know :).

heyy thanks for answering! I think too many lists are trying to be too cute with nightmare hunt lists and the battleshock theme, or going all in trying to make melee raptors work and become absolutely fragile as a result since they die to q sneeze. Its also a bit sad our infantry options are a bit limited, as the new enhancements for the regular chaos lord only works on objectives you control(?) and no longer grants stealth. But I’d still love to talk about the detachment and its possibilities as the warp talons plus scout can really force the opponents hand in deployment and even vehicles get plus one to wound, are you open for looking at lists? The nightlords discord is a neat place for brainstorming these detachments too.
